Ducklike Fistic Play

 

◇鸭形拳是象形拳的一种，以模仿鸭子行走、拍翅、抖翎、磨水等形态并配合武术手法和步法的一套别具一格的拳法套路。手法前撩后拨，左右伸按，柔中含刚，步法多处于半蹲状态，头颈前探后拉，身体左右扭动，矮身蹒跚而行，模样十分古怪，身形步法果然活脱像是只鸭子。常练此拳可以提高协调性和下盘支撑力。

INTRODUCTION

Ducklike fistic play, mimics the odd behaviors of duck and then combines the funny forms of waddling, paddling, or wing-spreading, etc with the elegant techniques of both hands and steps in practice. Its hand-skill includes that of forward and backward, left and right, weak outside but strong inside in nature. Those who often practice the play will have better performance of harmony and sustaining power within the body.

The fistic play is demonstrated by Bai Yong, the nationwide gold medal winner of Chinese Traditional Martial Arts Competition.
